Nama vs Kuvings

Nama vs Kuvings: What's the Difference?

Both Nama and Kuvings sell slow juicers, but the more useful comparison is between their individual feeding systems and machine formats. Among the products currently researched by BestSlowJuicer, Nama offers the self-feeding J2, the compact J3, the larger-batch J2 XL and the C2 juicer + blender. The two Kuvings models we cover represent two distinctly different workflows: the AUTO10 Plus with its large auto-feeding hopper, and the REVO830 with its Dual Feed Chute.

This page covers only the models we've researched — not either company's complete catalog — and helps you identify the relevant model before sending you to the detailed reviews and comparisons.

The Biggest Difference Is How the Models Handle Ingredients

Both brands make slow juicers, but the feeding systems represented on this site differ:

  • Nama J2, J3, J2 XL and C2 — self-feeding designs where prepared produce is loaded into a hopper and drawn in progressively. The hoppers differ in size and format between models, so they aren't identical.
  • Kuvings AUTO10 Plus — a large auto-feeding hopper built around loading a batch at once.
  • Kuvings REVO830 — a Dual Feed Chute, where you feed ingredients directly through dedicated openings.

These approaches change how you prepare ingredients, how often you interact with the machine during a session, and whether you work in a batch-loading or direct-feeding rhythm. We don't claim differences in juice yield, processing speed, nutrient retention or pulp dryness.

Nama Self-Feeding vs Kuvings AUTO10 Plus

If you want batch-style loading, the natural pairing is the Nama J2 and the Kuvings AUTO10 Plus: both are designed to cut down on repeated manual feeding. Larger-batch shoppers may also look at the Nama J2 XL, the larger-capacity J2 configuration.

Compare Nama J2 vs Kuvings AUTO10 Plus

What Makes the Kuvings REVO830 Different?

The REVO830 uses a Dual Feed Chute with separate openings for different ingredient shapes. Rather than loading a hopper and letting the machine work through it, you feed produce directly as you go — a different rhythm from a batch-style self-feeding hopper.

Compare Nama J2 vs Kuvings REVO830

Choosing Between the Kuvings Models

The AUTO10 Plus centers on its large auto-feeding hopper; the REVO830 centers on its Dual Feed Chute. If you've settled on Kuvings, the choice is mainly batch loading versus direct feeding.

Compare AUTO10 Plus vs REVO830

What If Counter Space Is Limited?

Among the models currently covered by BestSlowJuicer, the Nama J3 (6.3 × 6.3 × 15.9 in, 130W) is specifically positioned as the compact Nama option.

We don't currently have comparable verified dimensions for the AUTO10 Plus or REVO830, so we can't say how they compare in size. This doesn't mean Kuvings has no compact models — only that we haven't covered one.

What If You Juice Larger Batches?

  • Nama J2 XL — the larger-capacity version of the J2 platform, intended for bigger batches per session.
  • Nama J2 — the standard self-feeding hopper model for everyday hands-free juicing.
  • Kuvings AUTO10 Plus — a large auto-feeding hopper with up to 45 minutes of listed continuous operation.

We haven't measured juice volume, servings or processing speed across these machines.

Nama vs Kuvings for Celery

There's no brand winner for celery. When comparing feeding workflows for long produce, the REVO830's Dual Feed Chute is particularly relevant, while Nama models use different self-feeding approaches with prepared pieces. We haven't tested celery yield. See our best juicer for celery guide or how the J2 and REVO830 compare.

Nama vs Kuvings for Carrots

Carrots are firm and dense, so preparation and feed design shape the routine — whether you cut pieces for a hopper or feed them directly through a chute. Listed wattage doesn't tell you how a machine handles carrots. See our best juicer for carrots guide.

Nama vs Kuvings for Ginger

Ginger is dense, fibrous and irregularly shaped, so how you cut it and how the machine feeds it matter more than the brand. We don't claim either brand extracts more. See our best juicer for ginger guide.

Kuvings AUTO10 Plus200W
Kuvings REVO830240W

Wattage is listed by model, and it doesn't make one brand "more powerful." Higher wattage alone doesn't prove better extraction, higher yield, faster processing, fewer clogs or greater durability.

Nama J250 RPM
Nama J350 RPM
Nama J2 XL50 RPM
Nama C250 RPM (juicer)
Kuvings AUTO10 Plus50 RPM

A lower RPM doesn't automatically mean better juice, higher nutrient retention or better extraction. For how slow juicers differ from high-speed machines, see cold press vs centrifugal juicers.

Cleaning: Nama vs Kuvings

Nama's J-series juicers have a removable hopper, chamber, auger, strainers and spinning brush, with separate juice and coarse strainers and an included cleaning brush. Both Kuvings models use removable juicing components that need to be taken apart and rinsed after each use; check current Kuvings package contents for included cleaning tools.

BestSlowJuicer has not performed standardized cleaning-time testing across these models, and we don't treat one model's cleaning routine as representative of a whole brand.

What If You Also Want a Blender?

Among the models currently covered on BestSlowJuicer, the Nama C2 combines juicing and blending, using one base with different attachments. We don't make claims about Kuvings products we haven't researched.

What About Plant-Based Milk?

The Nama M1 is a plant-based milk maker, not a juicer, so it isn't part of this juicer comparison.

Nama vs Kuvings FAQs

What is the main difference between Nama and Kuvings juicers?

Among the models BestSlowJuicer covers, the biggest difference is feeding workflow. Nama offers several self-feeding formats — the J2, compact J3, larger-batch J2 XL and C2 juicer/blender — while the two Kuvings models take distinct approaches: the AUTO10 Plus uses a large auto-feeding hopper and the REVO830 uses a Dual Feed Chute.

Is Nama better than Kuvings?

Not universally. Nama's covered range suits shoppers who want a specific format such as compact, larger-batch or juicer-plus-blender. Whether that beats a Kuvings model depends on your routine.

Is Kuvings better than Nama?

There's no brand-wide winner. Kuvings becomes the more natural starting point if you specifically want the REVO830's Dual Feed Chute or the AUTO10 Plus's large auto-feeding hopper — it's about the feeding workflow you prefer, not the brand.

Are Nama and Kuvings both slow juicer brands?

Every Nama and Kuvings juicer covered on BestSlowJuicer is a slow juicer: the Nama models list 50 RPM, and both Kuvings models list 50 RPM. We don't make claims about products we haven't researched.

Which Kuvings model is most comparable to the Nama J2?

It depends on what you value. For batch-style self-feeding, the AUTO10 Plus is the closer match. The REVO830 offers a different approach with its Dual Feed Chute. See Nama J2 vs Kuvings AUTO10 Plus and Nama J2 vs Kuvings REVO830.

How does the Nama J2 compare with the Kuvings AUTO10 Plus?

Both reduce manual feeding with hopper-based designs, and both list 200W and 50 RPM. The AUTO10 Plus emphasizes a large auto-feeding hopper and lists up to 45 minutes of continuous operation. See our Nama J2 vs Kuvings AUTO10 Plus comparison.

How does the Nama J2 compare with the Kuvings REVO830?

The J2 uses a self-feeding hopper (200W, 50 RPM); the REVO830 uses a Dual Feed Chute where you feed ingredients through dedicated openings (240W, 50 RPM). See our Nama J2 vs Kuvings REVO830 comparison.

What is the difference between AUTO10 Plus and REVO830?

The AUTO10 Plus focuses on loading a larger batch into an auto-feeding hopper; the REVO830 focuses on feeding different ingredient shapes through its Dual Feed Chute. See Kuvings AUTO10 Plus vs REVO830.

Which brand has self-feeding juicers?

Both, at model level. The Nama J2, J3, J2 XL and C2 (juicing) are self-feeding, and the Kuvings AUTO10 Plus uses a large auto-feeding hopper. The Kuvings REVO830 is a direct-feed Dual Feed Chute design.

Which is better for celery?

No brand is proven better. The REVO830's Dual Feed Chute is especially relevant for long produce such as celery, while Nama models self-feed prepared pieces. We haven't tested celery yield. See our best juicer for celery guide.

Which is better for carrots?

No brand-wide winner. Feed design and preparation matter, and listed wattage doesn't prove better carrot performance. See our best juicer for carrots guide.

Which is better for ginger?

No brand-wide winner. Ginger is dense, fibrous and irregular, so preparation and feed design matter; we haven't tested ginger yield. See our best juicer for ginger guide.

Which brand has more powerful motors?

We don't answer this at brand level. Listed juicing wattages are: Nama J3 130W; Nama J2, J2 XL and C2 (juicer) 200W; Kuvings AUTO10 Plus 200W; Kuvings REVO830 240W. Wattage alone doesn't prove better extraction, yield, speed, fewer clogs or durability.

Which brand is easier to clean?

We can't name a brand-wide winner. All these machines have removable juicing parts that need rinsing after use, and BestSlowJuicer has not performed standardized cleaning-time testing.

Does Nama have a discount code?

Yes. Code MOH10 gives 10% off eligible Nama purchases. Promotional affiliate code. Terms may change without notice.

Does Kuvings have a discount code?

BestSlowJuicer doesn't currently display a verified Kuvings discount code. Check the current retailer listing for available offers.

Should I buy a Nama or Kuvings?

Start with the workflow you want — compact, larger-batch, juicer plus blender, a large auto-feeding hopper, or a Dual Feed Chute — then compare the individual models. The machine and feeding workflow matter more than the brand name.
