Hurom H70 Review: A Compact Self-Feeding Easy Clean Juicer

Traditional slow juicers often surround the auger with a fine-mesh strainer. The small openings in that strainer can collect pulp and fibres, which is what makes them fiddly to clean.

The H70 instead uses Hurom's Easy Cleaning Multi Auger. Its two-part design performs the juicing and straining function without relying on the same conventional fine-mesh screen arrangement.

That changes the cleanup workflow: there's no fine-mesh strainer to brush out. The parts still need rinsing and cleaning after use.

Self-feeding means you can load several prepared ingredients into the hopper instead of pushing each piece through a narrow chute. It reduces repeated manual feeding; it does not make the entire juicing process automatic.

Because the H70 doesn't use a conventional fine-mesh strainer, its internal filtration approach differs from traditional auger-and-screen designs.

We haven't independently verified whether this produces smoother juice, less pulp or higher yield. Juice texture can depend on the ingredient, its ripeness, preparation, machine design and filtration system.

The H70 operates at 60/70 RPM — slow-juicer speeds rather than the very high rotational speeds associated with centrifugal machines.

Hurom lists up to 30 minutes of continuous operation. That can be relevant if you prepare multiple servings in one session.

Runtime doesn't translate into a specific amount of juice, and Hurom doesn't list a hopper capacity in the specifications we use.

Listed dimensions: 6.8 × 8.5 × 17.2 in. The 6.8-inch width makes the body relatively narrow.

Height matters too: at 17.2 inches tall, measure the clearance beneath your cabinets if you intend to keep it permanently on the counter.

The H70 weighs 14.8 lb. That's worth considering if it will live in a cabinet and be moved out for every use.

Celery has long stalks, a fibrous texture and strings. The H70's self-feeding system can accommodate celery-based recipes when ingredients are prepared according to Hurom's guidance. We haven't measured celery yield.

Motor wattage alone does not determine juice yield, juice quality, nutrient retention, reliability, or the ability to process every ingredient.

Competing slow juicers can have higher wattage while using different augers, chambers and feed systems, so numbers aren't directly comparable across designs.

Is the Hurom H70 Easy to Clean?

The H70's internal design is clearly centered on simplifying cleanup compared with conventional fine-mesh strainer systems. However, its components still need to be cleaned after every use.

The H70 has the narrower body and the strainer-free Easy Clean design; the J2 is lighter, runs at a lower RPM and is eligible for Nama's own promotion. Neither is better for everyone.
